YOUR DIL

To commemorate 10 years of our parent, DIL’s work on behalf of the children of Pakistan, YOUR DIL has established a fundraising goal of $25,000. We hope, with your help as our generous patrons, to raise these funds to further DIL’s demonstrated commitment to educating the youngest, neediest of Pakistani society.

HOW WE WILL USE YOUR CONTRIBUTION

We plan to use the entire fund to build and fund a school in Sihala, a rural area outside Islamabad. The current state of education in government and community run schools in this area is very poor and most of the learning is done by rote. Teachers’ subject knowledge is very weak and their teaching abilities poor. Our methods are very different. DIL provides activity-based child-centered education which enhances creativity and innovation in the learning child and allows students to think independently and make correct choices.

What we've raised so far.

We plan to use the entire fund to build and fund a school in Sihala, a rural area outside Islamabad. THE FUTURE OF DIL AND YOUR DIL
While DIL has done much since 1997, educating thousands of children, there is so much work still to be done. As a testament to our success in primary schools, our graduating students are requesting (and we are providing!) secondary schools where they can continue their education. We even have secondary school graduates whose further education we are sponsoring. We are, for the first time, running our own schools, creating our own high-quality curriculum, and building a teacher training institute to increase the caliber of the education our children receive. YOUR DIL will continue to support our schools and all of these DIL initiatives.
