DISCOVER YOUR DIL

Our first event, appropriately entitled "Discover YOUR DIL" was held on April 21st, 2005 at a popular lounge in New York City.

Attended by 275 people, including young New York professionals, artists, students and several members of the DIL Board, the event generated tremendous interest in the organization from volunteers and donors. Based on the overwhelming feedback, YOUR DIL is planning several additional events for the remainder of 2005.

The event featured a DJ, a fashion show, and a vendor selling "I 'heart' Pakistan" T-shirts. Half the proceeds from the sales of the shirts went to DIL. The event will be covered by EGO Magazine, a New York based magazine for South Asian diaspora.

The event raised close to $10,000 in pledges, door fees and T-shirt sale proceeds.
